As we discussed in another article about finding new ideas for your ebook there is a problem organizing all the data you’re collecting, this problem is solved if you look for news aggregator sites. When it comes to writing an ebook you will accumulate a library of sources which you must keep track of.
A news aggregator is simply an online dashboard that allows you to import RSS Feeds from sites you follow and keeps them up to date and organized for you. This is a great way to pick and choose the articles you want to read, this tool will save you a lot of time and most are FREE.
Using Netvibes News Aggregator
Netvibes is a news aggregator that offers customized dashboard options and easy to use widgets to organize your feeds.
All you have to do is take the core URL (www.abc.com) and add feed to the end of it (www.abc.com/feed). Copy this feed and then in the Netvibe dashboard you will find a tab to ADD FEED. Once you add the feed you will then click on the small widget created at the top of the dashboard and click that, there will be a message asking if you want to add the widget to your dashboard, click YES.
You can drag and drop the widgets anywhere in your main dashboard, from there you can fine tune that widget by clicking edit.
Netvibes is one of the easiest FREE news aggregator sites around.
You can be overwhelmed with to much information, a feed aggregator is a tool which gives you a snapshot of all the sites you follow. It’s FREE so why not use it and keep your sanity when researching ideas for your ebook.
